Lacey Connelly first came to Kaufman Legal Group in January 2009 as an Assistant in the Political Compliance Department. She was promoted to Political Accounts Supervisor later that same year, and now works with labor unions, independent expenditure committees, candidates and officeholders to meet their financial compliance obligations.

Lacey has been pursuing a political path since her junior year at Northwestern University, working on the research team of an Illinois State Senate race in 2004, as an assistant director of a Chicago canvassing organization in 2005, and as a field organizer for the John Edwards’ campaign during the 2008 cycle. In mid-2008, she moved to California from the Midwest and began her work in state politics at The Strategy Group, one of the top political consulting firms in the country. After the election cycle, she decided to make the move to compliance and round out her political experience.

Lacey is also currently a member of the Los Angeles County Young Democrats, the Los Angeles World Affairs Council, and the American Political Science Association, as well as being active in her alumni chapters of Northwestern University and Alpha Delta Pi sorority.
