Kat Connolly joined Kaufman Legal Group as a Political Accounts Supervisor in December 2008. In that role, Ms. Connolly manages the bank accounts of many candidates and political committees, and works with clients to ensure compliance with federal, state and local campaign disclosure laws.
Prior to joining Kaufman Legal Group, Ms. Connolly was a successful political fundraiser, founding her own firm, Connolly Consulting, to provide fundraising development and strategic advice to candidates and elected officials. For 10 years, Ms. Connolly provided hands-on leadership and direction to clients in California, Washington, D.C. and elsewhere. This fundraising experience provided her with a detailed knowledge of federal, state and local campaign finance laws and reporting requirements.
Ms. Connolly served as consultant to numerous elected officials and political organizations, including: Congressmember Zoe Lofgren; California State Controller, John Chiang; Los Angeles Mayor, Antonio Villaraigosa; Governor Gray Davis; Democratic Governors’ Association and Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. She also served as legislative aide to State Senator Herschel Rosenthal.
Ms. Connolly is a guest lecturer and panel participant for numerous organizations and universities across Southern California. In addition, she has served on a variety of non-profit boards, including the Valley Leadership Institute, M.E.N.D (Southern California’s largest poverty agency) and the World Affairs Council.
